A study of standard versus tubeless percutaneous nephrolithotomy: Our institutional experience

Background: Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is considered to be the standard procedure in patients with large renal calculus. The purpose of this study analyze evidence-based literature regarding “nephrostomy-free” or “tubeless” PCNL and assess safety, efficacy, possibility, benefits tubeless over PCNL. Aims Objectives: aim was review compare Materials Methods: It a retrospective done between August 2021 December 2022. 100 cases stone disease size more than 2 cm who underwent Department Urology, Govt hospital, Salem. Patients are divided into two groups (Group A Group B) 50 each depending on date surgery. Results: In our study, we compared versus disease. Tubeless performed success age 13 years–65 years. 36 were female patients, whereas 64 male study. All results presented tabulated form Conclusion: safe effective technique associated decreased pain, low analgesic requirement, less operating time, faster recovery. However, it has its own limitation that precludes secondary for treatment, removal internal stent, dysuria, need visit hospital subsequent stent.
